Record Producer / Mixer Arranger, Guitarist / composer Robin Millar's website The man behind Sade, Robin is one of the UK's most successful ever Record and Music Producers, and honorary patron of the Music Producers Guild. His productions have sold 55 million copies worldwide, including 44 number 1 hits and have grossed over £400 million. Robin has been awarded over 150 Platinum, Gold and Silver discs. In March 2007 the Music Producers Guild Chairman Mike Howlett, the ARP team Katia Isakoff & Simon Zagorski-Thomas and LCM’s Larry Whelan organised the ‘Breaking Records’ Masterclass event, which was hosted by London College of Music at Thames Valley University. The illustrious panel was Chaired by Mike Howlett (MPG Chairman) and featured: Jerry Boys (REM, Buena Vista Social Club, Ry Cooder, Steeleye Span), Mick Glossop (Van Morrison, Frank Zappa, The Waterboys, The Wonder Stuff, Public Image, The Ruts) and Robin Millar (Sade, Everything but the Girl, Black, Fine Young Cannibals) This was the first in a series of planned MPG/ARP Masterclasses where the world's finest producers and engineers deconstruct some of their favourite productions giving valuable insight into their methods and production secrets….and sometimes happy accidents.
