Hotel:

The Doubletree Riverfront Hotel in Downtown Lowell is host hotel of the conference with events divided between the hotel and the campus of the University of Massachusetts Lowell.  A free shuttle connects the hotel and the campus.  Special conference room rate of US$99.00 (single/double occupancy), plus 9.7% occupancy tax, has been negotiated. 
    Attendees must book their hotel stay separately from conference registration and are encouraged to make reservations early to ensure room availability.  Use group code “ARP” to receive discounted rate. 
    After October 17, 2008 reservations will be accepted based on room and rate availability.

Phil Ramone book signing:

Phil Ramone will be signing copies of his recent book:  Making Records: The Scenes Behind the Music immediately following the Friday evening Keynote Address.
    You can pre-order your copy with your Registration for $24.95.  It will be at the signing for you to pick up.

Opening Reception:

An Opening Reception will be held following the Keynote Address, at the Doubletree Hotel.  There will be light foods and a cash bar, for socializing with other attendees.

Banquet

Saturday, November 15, 8:00pm.  Buffet banquet with cash bar.  Opportunity for attendees to mingle, discuss ideas, etc. $75.  Guests of conference attendees are welcome at the Banquet; please prepay for your guest with the conference registration.

Airports

Lowell is served by two airports, each about 45 minutes away:
Boston’s Logan International Airport

is served by all major carriers, and is located in East Boston, less than an hour south of the conference location.

Manchester-Boston Regional Airport http://www.flymanchester.com/
is served by Air Canada, Continental, Delta, Comair, Northwest, Southwest, United, and US Airways.  It is located in Manchester, New Hampshire and is less than an hour north of the conference location.


Airport Shuttle Service

Shuttle service between the Hotel and either Boston’s Logan Airport or Manchester’s (New Hampshire) Manchester Boston Regional Airport is readily available.

Transportation between hotel and campus


Shuttle service between conference events at the DoubleTree Hotel and on the campus of the University of Massachusetts Lowell is provided free of charge.

Meals

While some refreshments will be supplied by the Conference, attendees should plan to be responsible for own meals.  Café and restaurant facilities present at the Hotel and University, and the Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of many downtown restaurants.
